University Assistant (predoc): Landslide geoecology – dynamics of carbon footprints

Supervision: Thomas Glade and Stephan Glatzel (both Department of Geography and Regional Research)

Project outline:

Landslide dynamics is highly variable and ranges from reactivations within years up to constant movements. Besides the displacement of material, also the biogeochemical compositions might change. And these changes might also have effects on slope stability. Respective investigations are rare, in particular with respect to on-site monitoring. This study will investigate the relations between landslide dynamics and biogeochemical cycles. Study regions might include Lower Austria, the whole territory of Austria, or any other region.
