This guide aims to help especially international prospective VISESS PhD students to prepare their start at the University of Vienna. The information is split into three main sections – before leaving home, after arrival in Austria, and starting your PhD – each having several subsections. Each section ends with the most important information compressed into a checklist, and a collection of all links that were mentioned in the text as well as additional ones.
