Get introduced
The VISESS-wide Welcome & Intro events aim to introduce new, current and prospective VISESS students and supervisors to the doctoral school and its activities. Get to know the doctoral school, learn about the PhD programme and school activities, get introduced to the VISESS Seminar series and connect with other PhD students and supervisors over snacks and drinks. The VISESS-wide Welcome & Intro events take place each semester complementary to the university-wide PhD Orientation Week, which takes place every year in the winter semester.

University-wide PhD Orientation Week

The aim of the university-wide PhD Orientation Week is to help new doctoral candidates to orientate themselves at the University of Vienna. They take place at the beginning of each winter semester. At this event new PhD students will receive important information concerning the doctorate, make first contacts with established researchers and peers, and get to know the University of Vienna.
