Who can be supervisor(s)?
According to the current regulations only Professors, Habilitated Professors at the University of Vienna, and associated researchers as PI’s of major European grants (e.g., ERC) are entitled to be registered as main supervisors. Who can be co-supervisor(s)?
Staff members (e.g., Postdocs) with a PhD degree can be listed as co-supervisors. Note however that this is not possible for Professors. See also: https://studienpraeses.univie.ac.at/infos-zum-studienrecht/wissenschaftliche-arbeiten/dissertationen/

When should I present my PhD work at the FÖP?
Candidates must present and defend their PhD project at the FÖP within their first year of their work. Please observe the dates for the upcoming FÖP events in the next semester and plan your registration at these events considering the registration date at the Doctoral Program.
